All of Laurence Simon's work is hand built using white or red earthenware. Laurence has been working in London for the past 20 years and has been exhibiting widely in the UK and abroad. His work has many inspirations mainly from the natural world, animals and to a lesser degree architecture.  Laurence’s work is hand modelled, pierced, decorated, engraved and hand-painted. The sculptures are animalistic with a sense of humour. The clays used are white or red earthenware coiled and modelled. The glazes can be dry with bright highlights.
